Press presentation 125th death year Van Gogh

Vincent Van Gogh (1853) died on 29 July 1890 at Auvers-sur-Oise in France. In 2015, the 125th anniversary of his death will be commemorated with a varied cultural programme under the motto ‘125 years of inspiration’. This programme will take place in the Netherlands, Belgium and France, thanks to a unique Van Gogh Europe partnership. The commemorative year has been designed by museums and heritage locations which devote attention to his work, his life and his sources of inspiration. Preparations for this were in full swing in 2014.
