Nienke Bakker

new Curator of Paintings

Nienke Bakker (1972) was appointed as the new Curator of Paintings at the Van Gogh Museum in the summer. In this role, she is responsible for the conservation, presentation and expansion of our collection of paintings by Vincent van Gogh, the largest in the world with more than 200 paintings. Bakker succeeded Leo Jansen, who left the museum on 1 May to work on the Mondriaan edition project at Huygens ING/RKD.
