Big NUON New Year’s Reception in the Van Gogh Museum

Museum plays a role in advertising spot

Partnership with NUON
The Van Gogh Museum this year hosted the New Year’s Reception of energy supplier NUON, which was attended by 400 guests. On the basis of a fine agreement, NUON also produced an atmospheric advertisement, in which the museum and Vincent Van Gogh’s painting Irises appear.

The successful New Year’s Reception was at the heart of a festive programme on the theme of Light. Light artist Wijnand van de Horst presented his fascinating work there, and tours of the museum were conducted. The guests could also have their picture taken with the painting Irises, which Van Gogh consciously painted in the contrasting colours of bright yellow alongside dark purple. This work of art forms the focal point of the partnership between the museum and the energy supplier and also appears in the advertisement.
