‘Sunflowers’ on the road

Live Q&A on Twitter

For the first time in 65 years, the Sunflowers painting from the collection of the Van Gogh Museum was on show in the National Gallery in London, alongside the Sunflowers painting from the Gallery’s own collection. For visitors to the National Gallery, it was a unique chance to see two different versions of the famous Sunflowers together and to compare these much-loved masterpieces with each other. The two paintings are hanging side by side in London from 25 January to 27 April. These are just two of five different versions of Sunflowers that Van Gogh painted. The other three are in Tokyo, Munich and Philadelphia.
